O n January 14, 2019, the IMM international furniture and interiors fair opened its doors in Cologne, Germany – and the we have welcomed visitors to our SELVA Home. In eight interconnected rooms, we showcased a broad selection of ideas for contemporary romantic living. The fair have seen the premiere of a meticulously crafted oak finish, a new table concept, and a sparkling golden cement-look surface.Although everyone sings the praises of minimalism, at the same time we all long for some coziness, for a feeling of comfort within our own homes. This year in Cologne, SELVA has shown how these two very different and often contradictory trends can be balanced in a harmonious interior style. “Romantic decor represents an attitude toward life that never goes out of style. Whether furnishing a loft or a country house, redesigning an entire living space or adding new elements to an existing design concept, consumers are looking for furnishings that convey emotions. Customers want furniture that exhibits quality and creates a sense of comfort, that harkens back to a country home, the traditions of Italy, or the style of Louis Philippe and Louis XVI – all coming together to create favorite spaces,” says Dr. Philipp Selva, CEO and President of the Italian furniture manufacturer SELVA, describing his company’s “romantic living” concept. “Today more than ever, customers have an eye for meticulous craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and deliberate forms. Romantic furniture appeals to a broad customer base; it invokes emotions, touches hearts, and imbues interiors with spirit,” adds Dr. Selva.Pictures of the presentation: https://we.tl/t-nUsgh2SlVT
